Sofia Rodriguez was one of ten young international fashion designers selected for KMSKA x YOUNG FASHION DESIGNERS, an exhibition at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp. All ten designers are graduates of the Antwerp Fashion Academy and were invited to create silhouettes in dialogue with the museum’s art collection. 

For her silhouette, Sofia collaborated with MRGT, a fellow graduate of the academy herself, to bring her earring design to life. 
Together, they translated Sofia's vision into a finished piece of jewellery, combining her creative direction with MRGT's approach to form, material and craftsmanship.

This collaboration carries a history of its own. During Sofia’s third bachelor, MRGT and Sofia joined forces for the first time on a shoe collaboration. Designed by Sofia and made by Natalie Van Lijsebettens, multiple pairs of boots were created, featuring sculptural metal heels shaped like teeth and crafted by MRGT. Now, the boots reappear as part of Sofia’s silhouette for KMSKA, bringing an earlier collaboration into a new context and connecting two moments in MRGT's and Sofia’s creative journey together.
